Parish Green Card Scheme
Parish Council facilities are available for everyone across Swindon, the Parish Council however are committed to ensuring our local residents are able to access facilities with the fewest barriers possible.
We offer residents three tiers of discount card scheme run by Central Swindon North Parish Council, this will enable qualifying residents to enjoy discounts on a range of community activities.

The scheme is completely free to join and open to all residents with SN2 postcodes and some SN5 and SN25 postcodes*
You can use the Community Green Card at the Moredon Sporting Hub, StMarks Tennis Centre, Pinetrees Community Centre & John Moulton Hall Community Centre.
Being a cardholder also includes Library Membership (if selected) in Rodbourne, Rodbourne Cheney & Moredon, Pinehurst and Penhill libraries.
Membership lasts for two years and can be renewed by the applicant.
Card benefits are offered in three tiers:
Tier 1: All Residents:
10% discount to room bookings, leisure facilities and tea/coffee is available at off-peak times (Monday – Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm, all day Saturday and Sunday).
Tier 2: Support Tier 2:
20% discount to room bookings, leisure facilities and tea/coffee is available at off-peak times (Monday – Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm, all day Saturday and Sunday).
Tier 3: Support Tier 3:
30% discount to room bookings, leisure facilities and tea/coffee is available at off-peak times (Monday – Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm, all day Saturday and Sunday).
Categories where all individual members of the entire household can qualify
TIER 1: Community Green Card ALL RESIDENTS
- You are a Parish Council resident within an eligible post code.
This Category is where the entire household qualifies:
SUPPORT TIER 2: Community Green Card HOUSEHOLD ELIGIBILITY
- Universal Credit
- Jobseekers Allowance (income based only)
- Income Support
- Working Tax Credit (N.B receipt of child tax credit alone does not meet criteria)
- Council Tax Benefit (not including 25% single person discount)
- Carers Allowance
This Category is where only individual applicants qualify:
SUPPORT TIER 3: Community Green Card INDIVIDUAL ELIGIBILITY
- Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
- Attendance Allowance
- Severe Disablement Allowance
- Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)/Incapacity Benefit
- Disability Living Allowance
- Industrial Injuries Disablement Allowance
- Widow’ benefit/Bereavement Allowance/Widowed Parent’s Allowance
Categories where only individual applicants can qualify, but a carer may be admitted free.
For these, a +1 will be added to the card that allows a carer free entry. The +1 must act as support for the individual and cannot take part in any activity. They will be allowed to access any facility where they are providing carer responsibilities.

Proof of eligibility must be shown when applying.
Conditions of use:
- Applicants must be a resident of Central Swindon North CIVIL PARISH.
- The card must only be used by the named cardholder.
- If the cardholder ceases to qualify to the scheme, the card will be terminated.
- It is your responsibility to inform the Parish Council of any changes to the information provided on this form.
- Discounts must be claimed on arrival at the facility and before any payment. Deductions cannot be applied after you have paid if you did not make us aware of your eligibility.
- The level of discount and the activities to which discounts apply may be subject to review or removal by the Council at any time and such concessions are at the discretion of the Council.
All documentation is treated with strictest confidence.
The information on this form will be held under the Data Protection Act 2018 and will only be used by the Parish Council for purposes associated with your Community Green Card.
